This page describes how the reference site handles personal data of users surfing through it.
It is an information letter submitted, according to art. 13 of the law decree no. 196/2003 - Code on personal data protection, to all those interacting with the company Web services that can be electronically reached from the address: www.motovario.com corresponding to the initial page of the official site.
The information letter concerns only this site, rather than all the other Web sites possibly surfed through by the user using a link.
The information letter refers also to the Recommendation no. 2/2001 adopted on May, 17th 2001 by the European authorities for personal data protection - during the meeting of the Group formed according to art. 29 of the directive no. 95/46/EC, to establish some minimum requirements for on-line personal data collection; in particular, methods, times and nature of the information that the owners of data processing must give the users when they connect to Web pages, independently on the connection purposes.
As a result of the surfing in this site, data concerning identified or identifiable people can be processed. The “owner” of their processing is Motovario S.p.A. in Via Quattro Passi, 1/3 - Formigine (MO).
Data processing concerning Web services of this site is carried out in the above premises; all data are handled only by the technical staff of the data processing office, or by possible people charged with occasional maintenance operations. No data item coming from the Web service is disclosed nor communicated. Personal data given by the users sending requests about information material (bulletins, CD-ROMs, catalogues, price lists, replies to questions, deeds, etc...) are used only to fulfil the required service or performance.
Computer processing systems and software procedures running this Web site, during their standard use, can get some personal data whose transmission is implicit while using Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified people, though - due to its nature - could allow the users to be identified through processing and association with data items held by third parties. This data category includes IP addresses or computer domain names used by those connecting to the site, the URL (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the required resources, the time of the request, the method used to send the request to the server, the dimensions of the reply file, the numeric code corresponding to the reply sent by the server (OK, error, etc...) and other parameters concerning the user's OS and computer processing environment. These data items are used only to get anonymous statistic information about the use of the site and to check its correct operation. All data are immediately deleted after processing. Data could be used to ascertain responsibilities in case of hypothetical computer processing violations. Currently, no data item about Web contacts is kept for longer than seven days. Data voluntarily submitted by the user The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses stated in this site involves the subsequent acquisition of the sender address, required to reply to the requests, and all other possible personal data entered in the message. Specific synthetic information shall be progressively shown or displayed in the site pages arranged for special services upon demand.
No personal data of the users is purposely acquired by the site.
No cookies are used for sending personal information, nor are persistent cookies CDs of any kind used, that is systems of data tracking.
The use of session cookies (that are not persistently stored in the user's computer) is strictly linked with the transmission of session identifications (formed by random numbers generated by the server) required for a safe and efficient site surfing. The session cookies CDs used in this site prevent the recourse to other computer processing techniques that could be potentially detrimental to the secrecy of users' surfing and do not allow any users' personal identification data to be acquired.
Apart from the specifications of surfing data, the user can decide if giving his/her personal data or not. Failing to transfer them can involve the impossibility of getting what required.
Personal data are processed with automated instruments for the time strictly necessary to reach the linked purpose. Special safety measures have been adopted to prevent data loss, misuse or non-allowed use and unauthorized access.
