Lean Cup Q2 2025: set-up times have been significantly reduced
11 August 2025Following the implementation of the SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) method in the gear mesh department (DEN55 machine), set-up times have been reduced by 30%.
This significant achievement was made possible through a careful analysis of the set-up operations by the work team, who went on to define and implement improvements in terms of both management (5S and reduction of MUDAs) and technology by installing new pneumatic grippers.
The project was completed by defining new standards and verifying the set-up against the set targets.
