The Maintenance team has implemented a continuous improvement project focused on improving the area’s KPIs.

With the aim of increasing plant reliability and cost efficiency through the application of daily PDCA cycles, Motovario takes a structured approach to tackling the main causes of failure.

The focus of the project was to move from a reactive approach to a preventive and structured analysis, through:

  • root cause analysis of failures
  • definition of definitive corrective actions
  • standardisation of improvement actions and extension to similar work centres and lines
  • team involvement and KPI monitoring

Results achieved:

  • reduction in the number of faults
  • reduction in maintenance costs
  • greater operational stability and improved performance control

The project demonstrated how a structured approach to continuous improvement, supported by clear data and KPIs, can transform maintenance from a cost centre into a strategic lever for operational continuity.
