We are about to celebrate Easter with the traditional gift of chocolate eggs.

But why do we do this? It’s because the gift of an egg has great symbolic value.

In some cultures, it represents theXof Earth and Heaven, a symbol of life.

The Persians interpreted it also as a symbol of new life, since nature renews itself in the springtime.

For the Ancient Egyptians, it was the source of all things and the fulcrum of the four elements of nature (air, water, earth and fire).

The origins of the chocolate egg as we know it now, however, are unknown. There are many interpretations and it is unclear which version is the most valid, but what is certain is that everyone likes an egg; and Motovario, a leader in power transmission in the chocolate processing industry, is proud to help make children and adults alike happy on this special day.
